How To Always Look Like You’ve Just Stepped Out Of A Salon

4. The 3-Section Blow-Dry

Blowouts at the salon are quite different to blow drying at home, aren’t they? Well, you can achieve a similar effect with this simple trick: the 3-section blowout. Start by mentally sectioning your hair in 3: 1. hair that hangs under your ears, 2. hair between the ear and temples, and 3. hair that’s right at the top.

You’ll want to start at the bottom, using the lowest heat setting (to prevent damage), and then make your way up. “This method will make it easier to manage hair than if you were to clip up the parts you’ve finished drying, which typically leaves clip kinks,” says Lawless.

Finally, you can rub in some dry shampoo or sea salt spray (the latter is particularly suited for those with thin hair). This will make sure that the blowout you worked so hard on lasts longer!
