4 Causes of Hair Loss In Women
Hair loss or baldness refers to loss of hair in various sections of head. Typically, the head is the common culprit. It’s even more disturbing and is viewed as a misfortune when this happens to ladies. However, hair loss affects both males and females. In males, baldness is associated with high levels of testosterone hence making baldness common to them than their counterparts.
In women, hair plays a very major role to their beauty. Therefore, this has prompted many beauticians to come up with ways of dealing with hair loss issues. These include various treatments such as hair transplant surgery and replacement of hair with real human wigs, which is way cheaper compared to the hair transplant surgery or other advanced permanent hair solutions.
What causes hair loss?
There are a number of factors that causes hair loss that includes the following;
Genetic causes
Some people are born with genetic makeup which causes hair loss or baldness .Androgenic alopecia is a genetic inherited condition that causes baldness. This condition however can be noted at an early stage and appropriate remedies applied to mitigate baldness and avoid permanent baldness.
Autoimmune conditions
This is a condition where the body immune system fails to recognize specific body cells and attacks them as foreign bodies. A Condition like lupus is one in which the immune system attacks any cell and when the follicle cells are attacked, hair growth is compromised.
Too much Hair Processing
Once in a while, styling is advisable but too much setting, excessive use of chemicals, dying and other hair treatments can cause weakening of hair follicles hence impairing its growth. Heat from blow drying or flat ironing has adverse effects on hair shafts when done so often.
Lack of minerals such as iron
Deficiency of this essential mineral can cause baldness especially in women who experience heavy menstruation and fail to come up with a backup plan to restore the lost iron in the body. Besides anemic conditions, hair growth is also impaired and it’s one of the early indicators of this disease. Also proteins and other minerals such as vitamins are equally important to the growth of hair hence it’s of great essence to ensure that you have a balanced diet.
Stress
Any form of stress affects the immune system. Some of these effects can be manifested through dandruff or thinning of scalp. Avoiding these stress and proper hydrating can take care of this.
Conclusion
Some of the causes of hair loss are avoidable and the condition is treatable. No one should suffer from baldness especially women. Just in case it happens to you, just boldly get yourself a nice hair wig and avoid stress.
